Get more from your Lifetime Subscription!

The Star Trek Online Lifetime Subscription has always been the best way to make one purchase and set up your STO account for life, and now it’s getting even better. Thanks to the hard work of our programmers, we’re updating the subscription so that everyone gets more of every kind of slot when you purchase a lifetime subscription, and even those who aren’t subscribed will see some benefit. Purchasing a Lifetime Subscription increases the baseline slots of an account or character. This means that a character that starts at level 1 will have more slots if you’ve purchased a Lifetime Subscription. Here’s how the changes break down – please note that the values below reflect the total number of slots you will have after purchasing a Lifetime Subscription, not the amount of slots that will be added at purchase. These changes will take affect on PC tomorrow, January 25th, and at a later date on Xbox and Playstation.   For Players Who have Not Purchased a Lifetime Subscription Base Dry Dock Slots will increase to 10 Base Shared Bank slots will increase to 20 This means you will be able to access the Shared Bank without purchasing anything.   For Current and Future Lifetime Subscription Purchasers: Base Character Slots will increase to 13 Base Dry Dock Slots will increase to 15 Base Shared Bank Slots will increase to 40 Base Inventory Slots will increase to 144 Base Bank Slots will increase to 204 Base Bridge Officer Slots will increase to 12 at level 10, and 16 at level 65. Base Active Ship Slots will increase to 6 at level 10, and 15 at level 65. Base Costume Slots will increase to 4 at level 0 and 6 at level 65   Here’s a quick FAQ on how all of this works:   Will these changes affect users who previously purchased a Lifetime Subscription? Yes. Previous Lifetime Subscribers will see their slots increase to the new baseline, with no action necessary on their part. The number of baseline slots you have will automatically increase to the new lifetime values. How many slots am I getting, exactly, if I purchase a Lifetime Subscription right now? The number of “new slots” you’ll get will depend on your previous account’s status. If, you were previously a ‘Gold Subscriber’ to Star Trek Online, your baseline slots were already increased by that subscription. If you purchase a Lifetime Subscription, your baseline slots will increase further. Ok, but what if I was not a Gold Subscriber? Your baseline slots will increase by the full amount, as if you had been a Gold Subscriber who purchased Lifetime. So everyone who has a Lifetime Subscription receives the same amount of slots, in the end? Exactly. What if I’ve already purchased more slots than the values above, and my baseline slots are increased by a Lifetime Subscription? You will retain the purchases you’ve paid for, increasing the overall amount of slots you have. Do you have a table that lays all this out? Yes we do. It’s visible below. Please note that all values on the table are based on a starting point of a player who was not a Gold Subscriber and has not purchased a Lifetime Subscription.   Previous Values         Starting  Total Previous Gold  Total Lifetime  Total Character Slots 9 10 10 Dry Dock 5 10 10 Shared Bank 0 20 20 Inventory 72 108 108 Bank 60 132 132 Bridge Officer Slots 4@Lvl0     8@Lvl65 4@Lvl0 14@Lvl65 4@Lvl0 14@Lvl65 Active Ship Slots 3@Lvl0   9@lvl65 3@lvl0 12@Lvl65 3@lvl0 12@Lvl65 Costume Slots 2@Lvl0   2@lvl65 2@lvl0 4@Lvl65 2@lvl0 4@Lvl65     New Values         Starting Total Previous Gold Total Lifetime Total Character Slots 9 10 13 Dry Dock 10 10 15 Shared Bank 20 20 40 Inventory 72 108 144 Bank 60 132 204 Bridge Officer Slots 4@Lvl0     8@Lvl65 10@Lvl0     14@Lvl65 12@Lvl0     16@Lvl65 Active Ship Slots 3@Lvl0   9@lvl65 3@Lvl0     12@Lvl65 6@Lvl0     15@Lvl65 Costume Slots 2@Lvl0   2@lvl65 2@Lvl0     4@Lvl65 4@Lvl0     6@Lvl65 .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }
