Junior Officer and R&D Weekend!
We’re pleased to announce the return of the Research and Development Weekend! This event will run from March 17th at 8AM PT (16:00 CET) to Monday, March 21st at 10AM PT (18:00 CET), and features several bonuses throughout STO that will give Captains of all levels a leg up advancing their rank in the Research and Development school(s) of their choice. For those Captains looking specifically for extra help with their projects, all R&D packs throughout the game will give out an extra 25% of the items they currently disperse for the duration of this event. Queue R&D Material Reward Packages (Normal, Advanced and Elite) will reward 25% more R&D Materials and have a chance to reward a Catalyst. Alternatively, Captains wanting to advance through Research and Development schools as fast as possible should seek out Harvest Nodes, located in mission maps throughout STO, which will not only disperse 2 extra R&D Materials each time they are used, but will also reward 10 Dilithium Ore and have a chance to give out a R&D Catalyst during this event. For all Captains that work on a Research and Development project during this weekend event, those projects will reward an extra 50% of the appropriate Research and Development School XP. This includes projects to make components as well as those to make items. March 17th at 8AM PT (16:00 CET) to Monday, March 21st at 10AM PT (18:00 CET), we are running a special weekend event where you can earn Bonus Commendation XP by completing any Duty Officer assignments! To those junior officers who work tirelessly in cramped Jefferies Tubes, perish namelessly on away missions, or provide the endless streams of reports and analysis necessary for a starship to function – this event is dedicated to you! During this event, you’ll gain a 50% increase in all Commendation XP earned by completion of Duty Officer assignments. You don’t need to do anything special for this bonus – it’s automatic. Receive a FREE* special Purple quality duty officer with a unique active roster power by speaking with your duty officer contact. For Starfleet officers and Romulan allies, this is an engineering Exocomp duty officer; for KDF officers and Romulan allies, it is a Reman duty officer. *This is not available if you already claimed it the last time we ran the event. Duty officer packs** opened during the event will each have a FREE additional Green quality or better duty officer inside. This only applies to C-Store purchased packs, not to those awarded during rank-up, from recruitment assignments or mini-packs. Also, it applies only to packs opened during the event, even if they are purchased prior to the event. **The packs included in this offer are: Delta Alliance Duty Officer Pack, Gamma Quadrant Duty Officer Cadre, Reinforcements Duty Officer Pack, Fleet Support Duty Officer Pack, Romulan Survivor Duty Officer Pack, Fleet Support Duty Officer Pack, Klingon Empire Duty Officer Pack and Federation Duty Officer Pack. The Academy particle scanning events are now part of the Junior Officer Appreciation Event! Visit Starfleet Academy or Klingon Academy during the event and speak to Professor Meyer or Commander B’Tama. Pick a cadet to train, then engage in scanning particles all about the academy grounds. As you scan and capture particles you’ll help to train the cadet, and in exchange your faction will release a new random Duty Officer to you. The more particles you scan, the better the quality of the officer you can claim! Scan a minimum of 5 traces to be rewarded a Common Duty Officer Scan a minimum of 25 traces to be rewarded a Uncommon Duty Officer Scan a minimum of 50 traces to be rewarded a Rare Duty Officer Scan a minimum of 75 traces to be rewarded a Very Rare Duty Officer Remember, additional reserve roster duty officer slots (in increments of 25 and 100) are available from the in-game C-Store, for up to a maximum of 500 reserve roster spaces. Have fun, and try not to send too many duty officers to Sickbay! .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11511853-junior-officer-and-r%26d-weekend%21

Reflections of Empire
Captains in Star Trek Online have a long history with the Mirror Universe, and with the monstrous Terran Empire. With our new story content featuring a battle against the Mirror Universe once again, we thought it was a good time to celebrate that history. Reflections of Empire is a multi-TFO event that will progress you towards a brand new Holographic Janeway bridge officer! And, as part of our 2022 Event Campaign, completing it will progress you towards a grand prize of a Tier 6 Infinity Promotional Ship, two T6 Zen Store Ship Coupons, or 1500 Lobi! Read on to find out more about this event, which runs from 3/17 at 8am PT to 4/7 at 10am PT. Mirror Mirror Viewing the details of this Event in-game is as simple as opening your Journal and navigating to the new “Events” tab. From here, all of the pertinent information is at your fingertips, as are simple-to-use buttons that allow quick access to the associated Content for this Event. As a core feature of the Event System, all Progress Points gained toward completion of the Event are shared across your entire Account. Progress is now also entirely automated, doing away with the need to receive tokens, slot them into projects, or any of the extra steps that were previously required. Various new content offerings may be played in order to earn your Daily Progress toward the completion of the Reflections of Empire Event. Any of the participating TFOs from the following list will complete your Daily Progress: Iuppiter Iratus (Space) Counterpoint (Space) Operation: Wolf (Ground) Players will be able to complete their Daily Progress once every 20 hours. Any of the above TFOs may be played as much as you like each day, so pick and choose how you prefer to gain Progress each day, and mix it up as much (or as little) as you like! Event Campaign – Part 2! This multiple-event-spanning progression track will continue with the Reflections of Empire Event. This will be the second event that will participate in this Campaign, marking your first chance at receiving its reward. Each day that your Daily Requirement is met, the standard daily allotment of 50 Event Campaign Progress will be applied to your progress toward the completion of the Event Campaign’s Grand Prize - a choice of a free Tier 6 Promotional or Lockbox ship. The reward pack will include ships not available in the previous year's box. You could also claim 2 free T6 Coupons for the Zen Store, or 1500 Lobi! Rewards Accruing a total of 14 Days’ worth of Daily Progress will allow you to claim the Grand Prize, a Holographic Marshall Janeway Bridge Officer! The Marhsall comes equipped with a brand new Trait, Assimilate Dead, utilizing her Borg implants to ressurect dead enemies around her as Borg drones. If you come at the queen, you best not miss. The first character to claim the reward on your account will also recieve: 8x Terran Empire Agony Phaser Weapon Pack 3x Ultimate Tech Upgrade - Beam/Cannon/Projectile Tech Bonus Rewards After claiming the Grand Prize, you will unlock the option of earning additional Dilithium Ore each day that you continue participating in the content associated with the Reflections of Empire. Each day you earn the Daily Progress you will be automatically granted a bundle of Dilithium Ore. This bonus reward will begin at 8,000 Dilithium Ore for the first day’s completion, then scales up with each subsequent bonus completion that you achieve. The more you play, the more you continue to earn! Zen Buyout Option For players interested in instantly completing the Reflections of Empire Event – whether that is due to worries over finding the play time to complete it, or simply wanting to move immediately into earning Bonus Rewards – we will be offering an updated method for buying out. Within the new Event UI, an option will be presented that allows you to purchase the remaining progress that you need, for a scaling amount of Zen. The base price for this service will be 2,000 Zen, but every single Daily Progress that you earn will reduce that price on a percentage basis. Thus, if you have already earned 7 Daily Progress (half of the 14 required), this price will be reduced for you down to 1,000 Zen. The more you play, the cheaper the Buyout Option becomes, dynamically! A Second Chance Once the Reflections of Empire Event has ended, your opportunity to earn Progress Points will have passed. However, the new Event System will store the progress that you made long after the Event has expired. Based on this stored progress, the option to Buyout the rewards will remain available through a new “Second Chance” interface. The price for this buyout is the same as what is offered while the Event is active, and scales in the same manner based on your amount of Progress Points accrued. .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11512093-reflections-of-empire

Command a Section 31 Dreadnought!
Emerging from the shadows comes the next top-secret vessel of the secretive organization founded to defend the Federation at any costs, by any means – the Section 31 Intel Dreadnought Cruiser! From March 17th until April 7th on PC, we will be running a promotion that will provide an additional bonus when opening newly-purchased Research and Development Packs, or Duty Officer Packs. ** Promotion dates for Console platforms will be announced at a later date. During this promotion, when you purchase a participating R&D or Duty Officer Pack from the Z-Store and open it, you will receive either 10 Lobi Crystals or a Special Requisition Choice Pack - Tier 6 Promotional Ship Choice Pack in addition to the normal contents of whichever Pack was opened. Additional details about the participating Packs will be included at the end of this announcement. We are excited to announce a brand new addition to the impressive list of Tier 6 Starships that are included in this Promotional Ship Pack: the Section 31 Intel Dreadnought Cruiser (T6)! Section 31 Intel Dreadnought Cruiser [T6] Deep beneath the altruism and honor of the United Federation of Planets, a darker underbelly may be found, and those who believe in the old saying that the "ends justify the means" may find like minds within the ranks of the secretive Section 31. Although their clandestine nature may run counter to the concept of fielding large flagships, the needs of this organization occasionally necessitate a strong arm to enforce their drastic measures. This Starship features a Commander Engineering / Intelligence Station and a Lt Commander Science / Command Station. Ship Details: Tier: 6 Faction: Federation and Federation Aligned Required Rank: Must Complete the Tutorial Hull Modifier: 1.55 Shield Modifier: 1.25 Fore Weapons: 4 Aft Weapons: 4 Device Slots: 4 Bridge Officer Stations: 1x Lt. These projectiles burrow into enemy hulls with the primary purpose of then injecting streams of nano-scale drones into the subsystems and wiring of an enemy vessel, causing chaos and confusion in an attempt to undermine an enemy's effectiveness on the battlefield. The initial impact of these projectiles is powerful enough to breach most hulls, dealing Kinetic Damage in the process. Then the nanobots go to work, overloading subsystems to cause Electrical Damage over time, and rendering the afflicted starship incapable of distinguishing Friend from Foe. This console also provides a passive boost to Starship Stealth and Auxiliary Power, as well as providing bonuses to Maneuverability while under any Cloaking effect. Launch up to 8 projectiles over the course of 4 seconds; each seeks out a different Foe in your forward arc (max 1 per foe) To each Foe hit: Kinetic Damage and Confused for up to 15 seconds While Confused: Electrical Damage each sec ** Control Expertise skill extends the duration of Confuse, and the linked Electrical Damage-over-Time. Starship Trait – Interference Drones Your ship's hangars are outfitted with fleets of tiny drones, designed to interfere with incoming fire, and distract enemy targeting sensors. While this trait is slotted, launching Hangar Pets will grant your ship Temporary Hit Points. This will trigger upon activating your Launch ability, even if no new hangar pets are created. Additionally, while you have Temporary Hit Points from any source, all of your summoned pets (hangar, consoles, devices, etc.) deal increased damage. This bonus will be checked once per second, and only affects your pets if they are within 20km of you. When launching Hangar Pets: Temporary Hit Points for 15 sec While you have Temporary Hit Points from any source: +33% All Damage for your Pets Does not apply to Mines, Targetable Torpedoes, Anomalies, or similar Dark Mode (Combat Variant) Dark Mode grants stealth to your starship, but lowers your shields while active. This special variant of standard Dark Mode can be activated while in combat. When activated, your shields will drop for a few seconds before the Dark Mode fully engages. The strength of the stealth effect is determined by your starship's auxiliary power setting. Note: Traits and other abilities that interact with cloaking devices will also interact with Dark Mode appropriately. Innate Ability - Swarm Mode When activated, hundreds of fighter vessels will pour out of your ship, and fire on anything hostile that approaches you. A number of these drones will frequently peel off from the main swarm to attack any larger vessels that approach you. Activating Swarm Mode will increase your ship’s maneuverability, but at a small price to hull capacity. Swarm Mode cannot be activated while Dark Mode is active. (As seen previously on the Section 31 Command Heavy Battlecruiser) Infinity Update The player fortunate enough to win this ship pack will be presented with a choice of claiming a package containing this exciting new starship, or any one of the following ships: Kirk Class Heavy Battlecruiser [T6] Courage Command Science Destroyer [T6] Inquiry Class Battlecruiser [T6] La Sirena Heavy Raider [T6] Vulcan Experimental Scout Vessel [T6 Freedom Class Exploration Frigate [T6] Discovery Era Constitution Miracle Worker Flight Deck Cruiser [T6] Discovery Era D7 Miracle Worker Flight Deck Cruiser [T6] Krenim Annorax Science Dreadnought [T6] Elachi Sheshar Intel Dreadnought Cruiser [T6] Elachi Sheshar Command Dreadnought Cruiser [T6] Jem'Hadar Strike Ship [T6] Jem’Hadar Recon Ship [T6] Special Requisition Pack - 23rd Century Tier 6 Ship The Special Requisition Pack - 23rd Century Tier 6 Ship opens into one of the ships below, depending on faction: Temporal Light Cruiser [T6] – Constitution Class (Starfleet Only) D7 Temporal Battlecruiser [T6] (Klingons Only) T’liss Temporal Warbird [T6] (Romulans Only) There are even more ships you could win, like: Son’a Collector Science Dreadnought Amarie-Class Smuggler’s Heavy Escort Tzenkethi Tzen-tarr Dreadnought Carrier Vaadwaur Miracle Worker Dreadnought Mirror Crossfield Science Destroyer Hu'rq Vecrid Hive Dreadnought Carrier You might also get the Special Requisition Pack – 26th Century Dreadnought Cruiser, which opens into one of the ships below, depending on faction: Universe Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Cruiser (Starfleet Only) Durgath Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Battle Cruiser (Klingons Only) Valkis Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Warbird (Romulans Only) Note: Only Packs purchased during this promotion will offer the chance to win the Special Requisition Choice Pack - Tier 6 Promotional Ship Choice Pack. Mudd's Lost in the Delta Quadrant!
Excuse me! Excuse me! I need to get inside! My friends! I do deeply apologize for my tardiness. You will simply not believe what happened to me on my way here. I was contacted by a former customer - man by the name of The Caretaker - and apparently he was unhappy with a purchase he made. I explained that all sales were final, and he had the audacity - bzzxt - to throw me and my vessel all the way to the Delta Quadrant! The sheer nerve. However, all was not lost, as I promised you new products today, and I have delivered. In my brief travels to return from that distant part of our galaxy, I obtained the technology of several of their prominent species! And those ships are of course, now available on the show floor. Please, ladies, gentlemen, and the rest of you, step right this way. Mudd is opening the doors on a new Choice Pack on March 10th, this one from the Delta Quadrant! Purchase the Mudd's Lost in the Delta Quadrant Choice Pack for 29500 Zen, and choose any three of the above options! But that's not all - this pack will be 50% off from 3/10 @ 8am PT (17:00 CET) - 3/24 @ 10am PT (18:00 CET). Choose from the following options: Vaadwaur Miracle Worker Juggernaut Krenim Imperium Warship Undine Kiwavi Bio-Cruiser Hazari Destroyer 50x Master Keys 2x T6 Ship Coupons 300x Lobi Crystals 10x Gold Tech Upgrades In addition, everything else in Mudd's Market (except the other bundles) will be on sale for 75% off from 3/10 at 8am PT (17:00 CET) - 3/14 at 10am PT (18:00 CEST)! We're adding a special version of the pack on PC! The Mudd's MEGA Lost in the Delta Quadrant Bundle is a one stop purchase to obtain all eight items in the pack at once! The pack contains all eight items, no choices needed. It will also launch on 3/10, for 60000 Zen, but will be 50% off until 3/24 at 10am PT (18:00 CEST). Here's how it works: The MEGA Lost in the Delta Quadrant Bundle will appear in Midd's Market at the same time as the Lost in the Delta Quadrant Choice Pack This is a once per account purchase. When purchased, it will disappear from the store. If you'd like, you can still purchase the Lost in the Delta Quadrant Pack for more of the non-ship items. Purchasing the MEGA Lost in the Delta Quadrant Bundle will drop an item in your inventory, that you can unpack to receive the items. If you wish to buy both the MEGA Lost in the Delta Quadrant Bundle and the Lost in the Delta Quadrant Choice Pack, you must purchase the bundle first. Any purchase of the Choice Pack will cause the Bundle to disappear from the store. Never seen one of these packs before? Seen them all but still unsure how they work? Here's an FAQ just for you: Each time I buy this pack, I get to choose any three items? Yes! Even if you only purchase it once, the Mudd’s Lost in the Delta Quadrant Choice Pack allows you to choose any three of the above ships, keys, coupons or upgrades. You can choose multiples of the same item, as long as it’s not a ship. Some of the possibilities include: The Juggernaut, the Hazari Ship and the Krenim Ship The Undine Ship and Two of the Lobi Crystal Packs, totaling 600 Crystals Three Key Packs, equalling 150 Keys The Juggernaut, Two T6 Coupons, and 50 Keys And more! Are the ships bound to the character that buys them? Nope! The ships are account unlocks, like everything in the Zen Store. Once you purchase the bundle and choose any of the ships, you unlock that ship for all your characters, immediately, and all future characters. Can I claim a second ship of the same type? Also no. Because the ships are unlocked for your entire account, you only need to choose each ship once. Therefore, should you purchase a bundle and choose the Vaadwaur Juggernaut and two non-ship items, if you purchase a second bundle, you won’t be able to choose the Vaadwaur Juggernaut again. But I can choose the non-ship items again? You sure can. You can choose the T6 Ship Coupons, Keys, Gold Tech Upgrades, and Lobi up to three times each, per purchase of the bundle. Even within the same purchase? That’s right. If you only want Upgrades, you can purchase this bundle once, choose the Upgrades three times, and get 30 Upgrades. It’s up to you! Do I have to purchase more than one bundle to get all the items? Yes. Do I have to purchase more than one bundle? No! If you just want three of the ships, or any other combination, just purchase it once, claim the three items you want, and never think of it again. Do I have to purchase this bundle? That’s really up to you, friend. Why didn't Voyager ever run out of torpedos? Because Neelix cooked them some more. .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11511463-mudd%27s-lost-in-the-delta-quadrant%21

Intelligence Report
Around the Spring of 2014, we began development of the first ever Captain Specialization that would appear in Star Trek Online, alongside the release of our second expansion, “Delta Rising,” which arrived later that same year. At that time, our vision of what a Captain Specialization would and could be in the game was a bit different from how players ended up engaging with them, and what expectations would come to exist regarding their performance, availability, and overall gameplay impact. As we have continued developing additional Captain Specializations over the years between then and now, we have gained a better understanding of these expectations, and the gameplay impact that is expected to come from these features. And now, with that knowledge in-hand, we have decided it’s far overdue to revisit the first of these Captain Specializations, and give it just a bit of the polish that its peers have benefited from over the years. The Pitch At this time, we’ve chosen to focus on simple revisions, with a focus on just a few design goals: Increased ease of use Increased feeling of usefulness Increased impact on gameplay These guiding principles mean that the vast majority of the changes we’re performing in this upcoming patch will focus on changing numbers, streamlining tooltips and functionality, and updating descriptions. They will not include major changes to functionality. We have shied away from major re-works that would alter the core functionality of any of these existing abilities, both to ensure that our focus at this time centers on the above goals, and to ensure that players that might not be aware of these impending changes won’t feel as though the mechanics they are already familiar with are suddenly foreign to them. With a game as venerable as Star Trek Online, we feel it is an important consideration to try not to “rock the boat” too heavily when revisiting abilities or features that have been in the game for many years, and generally choose to do so with care and caution. The Timing The changes that will be detailed herein are scheduled to arrive on PC with a patch on March 17th, 2022. Console platforms are scheduled to receive these changes as well, likely within the following month or two. Exact dates are not available at this time. The Details Without further ado, the following includes a list of all of our planned changes that will be included in the upcoming update. Intel Ship Mechanic "Gather Intel" / “Active Sensor Arrays” Now takes 6 stacks of Penetrating Scan to cause Vulnerability on any rank of ship, instead of varying by rank Duration of Vulnerability increased from 15 sec to 30 sec Stacks of Penetrating Scan will not be applied while a target has Vulnerability, or if any Expose ability is presently active. All "Expose" abilities now immediately expire any existing Vulnerability (in addition to other effects). NPCs no longer benefit from a lockout period after Vulnerability expires, and may instead be immediately start rebuilding stacks of Penetrating Scan. Players now benefit from a 30 sec lockout (increased from 15 sec). JR: While the most common player feedback included suggestions of moving the stacks of “Penetrating Scan” to being self-targeted, we chose not to pursue this for now, as it both removes the multiplayer aspect of being able to build stacks more quickly with multiple players scanning, and also makes it similar enough to the Command Spec’s “Inspiration” mechanic to invade on that identity. This also treads into “major rework” territory which we chose to avoid where possible with this particular set of updates. Instead, we’re speeding up this ability’s application, and improving its re-usability, as well as cleaning up some “messy” stacking behavior that previously existed. Intel Bridge Officer Abilities (Note: If an ability is not called out here, no changes have been made to its functionality.) "Evade Target Lock" Base Duration of Disable/Untargetable increased from 1/2/3 to 2/3/4, and now scales with Control Expertise. The duration of the Disable is now subject to Control Resistances of the affected foe. Replaced Accuracy penalty with a Damage penalty. Affected Foes now suffer reduced damage against the user of this ability, instead of just missing them more frequently. (Their damage output against other targets is unaffected.) Durations of all ranks are now normalized at 20 seconds. JR: Accuracy debuffs are a difficult mechanic to feel, or even to verify their effectiveness using Combat Log Parsing. Replacing this with a damage penalty maintains the feel of the design, while gaining a more verifiable impact. Adding in skill interactions also seemed like an obvious choice. "Intelligence Team" Threat Reduction values at all ranks have been doubled. If "Threatening Stance" is not active on the recipient of this ability, this effect is doubled again. Targeting Stealth values are now consistent across all ranks (equal to previous Rank III values). Defense buff increased from 10/15/20 to 30/40/50. Added a Perception Buff to recipient which scales with rank. JR: With these changes, we think the power now has a unique niche to fill as a Threat Modifier ability. Improving the Targeting Stealth values associated with Rank I and II may also allow those abilities to fill a role they were previously too weak to effectively fill. This ability also remains the sole means of removing the debuffs from “Gather Intel” in PvP scenarios. "Subspace Beacon" All ranks now have the same distance limit of 20km. Added brief period of "Untargetable" after Teleport. Teleport will now reset all Threat, when "Threatening Stance" is not active. Added a Bridge Officer Cooldown reduction to the Teleport, which scales with rank. Added clarifying descriptive text: "The beacon will automatically self-destruct if you are too far from its location. However, there is no cooldown triggered on the ability if this occurs." Fixed long-standing errors with how multiple ranks of this power would interact with one another. Each Rank now utilizes an entirely separate set of checks, in order to allow a player to use multiple Beacons if they so choose. This change also resulted in the shared cooldown between ranks dropping from 60sec to 15sec. JR: In addition to adding utility in the form of a Threat Dump and scaling Boff CD reductions, this review offered us the opportunity to fix text omissions and functionality errors that had been present for a long while. Win-win! "Electromagnetic Pulse Probe" Flight Speed increased by 50% at all ranks Added Electrical Damage to probe's pulses while in-transit to destination. Foes within 2km of probe will take some damage now. Damage now scales with Particle Generators skill. Disable durations now scale with Control Expertise skill. Base duration of pulsing Disable (not final detonate) has been reduced, and benefits less from Control Expertise. Probe will no longer detonate until at least 10 seconds have passed, even if launched at very close range. This power is now labeled as a Control Bridge Officer Ability, and can interact with applicable effects and triggers such as Secondary Deflectors. JR: By traveling faster, living longer, and utilizing the skills of its owner, our hope is that this friendly little nuisance gains footing as a valid alternative to other Bridge Officer abilities. "Ionic Turbulence" Projectile now travels to its destination approximately 3x as quickly. Damage Resistance Debuff increased slightly at all ranks, and now scales higher with Auxiliary Power. Speed Debuff now scales with Control Expertise skill. This power is now labeled as a Control Bridge Officer Ability, and can interact with applicable effects and triggers such as Secondary Deflectors. Fixed a series of errors with Rank II and III of this ability, that could cause the cloud to be centered on the user instead of their intended target. JR: Primary player feedback focused on travel speed and debuff severity, as compared to alternative Boff ability choices. Our internal reviews supported this feedback, and became the focus of the updates applied to this ability. "Kinetic Magnet" Increased Kinetic Resistance debuff at all ranks, from 20/25/30 to 30/40/50 Durations of all ranks are now normalized at 15 seconds. Number of Mines/Torpedoes that can be drawn to an affected target has been increased from 3 to 6. The range at which Mines/Torpedoes can be drawn to an affected target has been increased from 5km to 10km. Reminder: This ability no longer has a fragile damage cap (removed in a previous update). JR: Such a clever ability that sees so little use. Many players that offered feedback did not seem to know that the fragility limits were removed long ago. Hopefully these numeric improvements may allow it to find a place among players that enjoy using Kinetic damage to defeat their foes, and at least make players curious enough of its potential to take another look at it. "Surgical Strikes" Increased damage multipliers at all ranks. Rank I went up by approximately 30%, Rank II by about 40%, and Rank III by about 50%. Standardized the amount of Critical Chance and Accuracy at all ranks, to 30% of both. Added a scaling amount of Critical Severity to all ranks. Rank I = +40, Rank II = +60, Rank III = +80 JR: Updating this power was a tricky course. Since the improvements made to “Beam Overload” a few years back, its identity has been mired. Coupled with poor numeric performance, the ability languished un-used. This was especially true for high-end players who already itemized for high Critical Hit Chance, as there comes a point where more +CritH isn’t a meaningful choice for your build. While the boost to the damage multiplier was a bit of a no-brainer, this would not address the underlying use case for those high-end players, and so an additional Critical Severity boost has also been rolled into the ability. With this added, our hope is that this ability will now be a viable choice to some degree, for players at all progression levels. "Transport Warhead" Removed firing arc requirements Recharge time reduced from 30sec to 15sec JR: By giving players an ability that removes the firing arc restrictions on one of their weapon types, our hope is that this ability now has a useful niche it can fill. Especially for ships on the lower-end of maneuverability that wish to use Torpedoes. Alongside the drastic reduction to the ability’s cooldown, it is now more readily usable with more frequency. Truthfully, this ability could benefit from further review and tuning, but the complexity of its underlying structure prevented much additional improvements without a drastic rebuild at this time. Star Trek Online: My Life at Warp Speed
For almost all of Star Trek Online's history, Associate Art Director Thomas Marrone has been a constant. Starting as a fan submitting designs on the forum in our Open Beta, he first saw his work published in the game all the way back in Season 2, before coming on as a Graphic Designer, then a UI Artist, then Ship Artist, then Lead Ship and UI Artist, and finally Associate Art Director. It's a crazy journey that could only happen with Star Trek Online, and we wanted to take a moment to celebrate it, now that Thomas has also sheparded four of Star Trek Online's ships into canon with the second season of Star Trek: Picard. This documentary short, "Star Trek Online: My Life at Warp Speed," covers that entire journey. Pull up a Captain's Chair and enjoy! If you love that beautiful art that Thomas made above to celebrate this, we've got wallpaper versions of it for you! (Sans Thomas' face.) Go ahead and grab them by clicking on the image below: .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11510833-star-trek-online%3A-my-life-at-warp-speed

STO Ships are Canon!
The Countdown to Canon is complete. As of this morning at midnight, four Star Trek Online ships have appeared in Star Trek Picard, officially making them canon vessels. And we want to celebrate with you. Look for a special video tomorrow documenting the process of these ships appearing on the show, but right now, get a chance to save on all of these ships, and grab the Inquiry for Lobi for the first time! All of these sales last from March 3rd at 8am PT to March 10th at 10am PT. Before we get into the nitty gritty of the individual sales, we want to take a moment to say thank you. This is a monumental moment for for the team of Star Trek Online. While we've had crossovers, brushes with canon, and even shoutouts before, this is the first time something explicitly made for our game has crossed over and officially become part of canon on a Star Trek TV show. It's an overwhelming and exciting feeling, and the reason we got here is because of you. STO's Captains have supported us for twelve years, helping us to tell stories of the Final Frontier in an era that, until very recently, had never been touched. Without you, none of this could have happened. Thank you so much. First of all, the Inquiry Class is flying out of the Infinity Research and Development packs and into the Lobi Store for the first time! New Weapons and Outfits in Mudd's!
For god's sake, get inside, you fool! Do you think this highly mobile, exclusive market keeps on the run from the Khitomer Alliance by having people stand outside and gawk all day? My forgiveness, dear customer, I appear to be a bit on edge. A few close calls lately. But do not let that deter you, you will find Mudd's Market is still as tip top as ever! In fact, we have some brand new items that have just come in. Look at this fine suit and top hat. It's beautiful, isn't it? The absolute craftsmanship. And believe it or not, this suit was worn - sort of - by an American president! It's made out of - er - constructanium, so it's completely impervious to physical harm! But if you're more of a "best defense is a good offense" being, look no farther! These weapons here were designed to combat the Borg, and cycle between different types of power regularly. Oh! You wish to know more about that item? Why, you have quite an eye, my friend. Yes, this transponder will summon the legendary ship the Kobayashi Maru. Well, yes, I am aware she's famous for exploding, my friend, but she'll provide you with the support you need nonetheless! Now please, step over here and we can discuss payment... Mudd's Market has three new items coming to PC this Thursday, March 3rd! Get your hands on the Abraham Lincoln costume, Cyclic Modulation Weaponry, and the Kobayashi Maru Supply Device! .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11510513-new-weapons-and-outfits-in-mudd%27s%21

PC Patch Notes for 2/24/22
General: Captains who did not receive earned Event Campaign progress from the Borg Resurgence Event despite participating will automatically be granted the progress. If you bought the 12th Anniversary Bundle you should now be able to use the Starfleet version of the Lexington, Cygnus, and Trailblazer as intended even if you do not have the Yorktown, Andromeda, or Pathfinder. Updated the displayed Binding Rules on all reward boxes pertaining to Event Campaign III and IV, so that it's clearer that all included rewards are Account Bound, and may be traded using the players' Account Banks. The only character-specific rewards contained - the actual Ships, not their Rewardpacks - only bind once they are commissioned. Resolved an issue that was preventing the Galaxy-class Saucer Separation console from properly functioning on the Cygnus Battlecruiser. Resolved an issue that was preventing the Console - Universal - Dispersing Nanoprobe Assimilator from dealing its plasma DoT. Resolved an issue causing the Destabilized Dimensional Rip console to have only a 1min cooldown, instead of the standard 2min cooldown of most other universal console abilities. The "Agony Redistributor" console may no longer be activated if the target foe is already under the effects of the same power from a different source. The tooltip on “Agony Redistributor” now correctly says it lasts up to 12 seconds (instead of the incorrect "up to 15 sec") “Agony Redistributor” now only affects up to 10 foes (down from 20) near the target. Increased range of Control Expertise Skill granted by Controlled Aggression (Starship Trait) from 5-30, to 10-60. Increased Exotic Particle Generators Skill granted by Weaponized Exotic Particles (Starship Trait) from +50 to +75. The damage portion of Agony Redistributor console will no longer interact with Confuse targeting, preventing players from accidentally damaging their allies with this power. The base duration of the Banish on the Destabilized Dimensional Rip console has been slightly reduced, and will no longer attempt to Banish certain enemies that are intended to be unaffected by Control abilities, or those that are very large. Captains can no longer use Acheron parts on the Styx. These parts were given to players in error. Added both Odyssey interior options to the Terran Lexington Dreadnought Cruiser. Resolved an issue where the small event preview window was displaying the wrong event end date.Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11510293-pc-patch-notes-for-2%2F24%2F22

The Borg Resurgence!
Priority alert to all captains from Admiral D’vak of Task Force Omega. The Borg have returned. The Borg Resurgence Event presents remastered versions of three of the most popular Borg Task Force Operations and pits you against the implacable advance of The Borg. This new Event is designed to celebrate these long standing operations, and gives players a new method of engaging with the classic nemesis in all their resurgent terror. Participating in this Event will give all players the opportunity to win a Dispersing Nanoprobe Assimilator. Keep reading for details on these items, how you can participate in the Event, and what additional prizes may be earned. The Borg are Adapting What do we mean by remastered? Well, like the Borg, our game is also adapting. We selected these three TFOs to update and remaster because of their popularity among the player base and the quality of their content. They represented designs that worked well; they’re elite tactical drones, if you will. We made them more robust, updated them, added voiceovers, and improved on their presentation and mechanics to provide an even better player experience. Resistance is Futile To alleviate any fears, these TFOs did not get harder, or have copious extra hoops added to them that we expect players to jump through. Instead we shaved off the rough bits, streamlined messaging, and tweaked fail conditions to be communicated better and have margins of failure rather than binary conditions that suddenly happen and cause you to fail silently. Infected will still be the viable DPS check; you’ll just get wonderful new voiceover to talk to you while you dismantle Borg Cubes like bricks of ramen. Assimilate New Players The stakes are the same, the rewards for strong play are still there, but now it is a much more user-friendly experience and that means more drones for The Collective! Er, more players to play with and enjoy this content together! The TFOs match level, ensuring that they are balanced regardless of player level. The messaging is streamlined - lessening confusion, which was a barrier to entry for some (we remind players to bring Frequency Remodulators for ground TFOs against The Borg, for instance), and we update players on events as they unfold much more clearly. All of these improvements improve the experience to make the content as welcoming as possible to new drones, er, players. Raising the Stakes For you veterans – Advanced versions of these TFOs are also available to really test your crew, or deliver them screaming into the comforting nanite embrace of The Collective. And for the first time since the introduction of a 3-tier difficulty system for TFOs, we are pleased to announce that the Borg Resurgence Event will also introduce Elite versions of these re-mastered experiences, intended for the truly brave (or foolish) among you. Your Journey, Toward Perfection Viewing the details of this Event in-game is as simple as opening your Journal and navigating to the new “Events” tab. From here, all of the pertinent information is at your fingertips, as are simple-to-use buttons that allow quick access to the associated Content for this Event. As a core feature of the updated Event System, all Progress Points gained toward completion of the Event are shared across your entire Account. Progress is now also entirely automated, doing away with the need to receive tokens, slot them into projects, or any of the extra steps that were previously required. Various new content offerings may be played in order to earn your Daily Progress toward the completion of the Borg Resurgence Event. Any of the participating TFOs from the following list will complete your Daily Progress: Infected: The Conduit (Space) Khitomer Vortex (Space) Into the Hive (Ground) Players will be able to complete their Daily Progress once every 20 hours. Any of the above TFOs may be played as much as you like each day, so pick and choose how you prefer to gain Progress each day, and mix it up as much (or as little) as you like! Event Campaign – Part 1! This multiple-event-spanning progression track will begin with the Borg Resurgence Event. This will be the first event that will participate in this Campaign, marking your first chance at receiving its reward. Each day that your Daily Requirement is met, the standard daily allotment of 50 Event Campaign Progress will be applied to your progress toward the completion of the Event Campaign’s Grand Prize - a choice of a free Tier 6 Promotional or Lockbox ship. The reward pack will include ships not available in the previous year's box! Rewards Accruing a total of 14 Days’ worth of Daily Progress will allow you to claim the Grand Prize of the Borg Resurgence Event. This reward includes all of the following: Dispersing Nanoprobe Assimilator With tremendous efficiency and quick action, this console infects nearby foes with Nanoprobes capable of assimilating enemies. When activated, this console disperses Borg nanites in a 3km radius to inflict Plasma damage and leave lingering Plasma Damage over time.If your enemies are destroyed while these Nanoprobes are infecting it, they will reconstruct your enemies into allies and preserve their decaying warp cores a little longer. Newly created additions to the Collective will use tractor beams and attempt to fly into your enemies to ignite their decaying warp cores upon their targets. Per activation, up to 10 enemies can be infected with Nanoprobes. This console additionally provides a boost to Maximum Hull Capacity and Control Expertise. You may equip this console on any ship in any console slot. You may only equip one of these consoles. 3x Featured TFO Reward Boxes Each gives a choice of 1x Specialization Point or an Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade 50,000 Dilithium Ore Issued immediately for use as you see fit! (Note: The Featured TFO Boxes and Dilithium Ore are only rewarded once, to the first character on your account that claims the Grand Prize.) Bonus Rewards After claiming the Grand Prize, you will unlock the option of earning additional Dilithium Ore each day that you continue participating in the content associated with the Borg Resurgence. Each day you earn the Daily Progress you will be automatically granted a bundle of Dilithium Ore. This bonus reward will begin at 2,500 Dilithium Ore for the first day’s completion, then scales up with each subsequent bonus completion that you achieve. The more you play, the more you continue to earn! Zen Buyout Option For players interested in instantly completing the Borg Resurgence Event – whether that is due to worries over finding the play time to complete it, or simply wanting to move immediately into earning Bonus Rewards – we will be offering an updated method for buying out. A Second Chance Once the Borg Resurgence Event has ended, your opportunity to earn Progress Points will have passed. The bundle also includes a bonus skin for the Engle exclusive to the bundle: a Terran version of the 25th Century Earhart Heavy Strike-Wing Escort. Once this bundle is obtained, this exclusive material is usable on both the Mirror Engle Strike Wing Escort, and the Earhart Strike Wing Escort. Terran Lexington Dreadnought Cruiser [T6] The complete technical capabilities of this modern flagship of the Terran Empire are a well-guarded secret, known only to a select few within the Emperor's trust. Yet despite the closed lips, it is no secret that the ship is versatile and unpredictable, often emerging victorious and relatively unscathed from battle, even when the odds are stacked in her enemies' favor. This starship includes a Lieutenant Tactical / Intelligence specialist bridge officer seat and a Commander Engineering / Miracle Worker specialist bridge officer seat. Costume Information: The Lexington-Class Dreadnought Cruiser is a menacing dreadnought refit of the Yorktown-class Star Cruiser. With a massive heavy weapons pod and an agony phaser lance, the Lexington makes a formidable flagship to any fleet. The weapon fires a single massive phaser beam that is so devastating, that it typically pierces multiple targets - if they happen to be lined up. Console – Universal – Multi-Directional Artillery Barrage The tradeoff between ease of reloading and number of weapon cells is usually a balancing act. Every now and again, a design comes along that throws that idea out entirely, and this is just such a time. Bristling all over with disposable torpedo launchers, this console equips the ship with the absolute most semi-guided torpedoes possible. These have significant tradeoffs -- guidance isn't available except during the primary launching sequence, reloading is slow and cumbersome, and the torpedoes can't be discharged individually. These tradeoffs buy a spectacular and morale-debilitating wave of devastation that threatens tremendous hull damage to huge numbers of enemy ships, even those far outside the primary field of fire. A valuable asset to captains willing to take risks in the fray. This console additionally provides a passive bonus to Projectile Damage and Maximum Hull Capacity. This console may be equipped on any ship in any console slot. Launches Warheads in all directions, dealing Kinetic Damage to Foes + Bonus Damage per Firing Arc with 1 or more Foes (Fore, Aft, Left, Right) + Additional Bonus Damage per Affected Foe Starship Trait – Dimensional Modulation While this trait is slotted, activating Directed Energy Modulation, or any Miracle Worker Bridge Officer Ability, will grant you an amount of Bonus Weapon Damage that scales with the number of nearby foes within 5km (up to 10 max). This buff lasts 10 seconds, and may only trigger once every 10 seconds. +3% to +30% Bonus All Damage with Starship Weapons for 10 seconds Hangar Pets – Mirror Universe Shuttlecraft These scrappy fighters are equipped with Agony Phaser beam weaponry, and can utilize Beam Overload. At higher ranks (available on the Dilithium Store or Fleet Starbases) they also gain access to Tractor Beams. Terran Cygnus Battlecruiser [T6] Although considered by some to be too ponderous to serve as a frontline battleship, the Terrans still find value in the immense and menacing posture of this bulky and well-armored cruiser. Its presence on any battlefield is widely understood to be an unspoken threat to enemies of the Empire, as it is outfitted not only to defeat their enemies, but to erase them from history entirely. This starship includes a Lieutenant Tactical / Command specialist bridge officer seat and a Commander Engineering / Temp Op specialist bridge officer seat. Costume Information: The Cygnus-class Battlecruiser is a new version of the Andromeda-class Exploration Cruiser, built with advanced tactical systems. Foes near the rift take Phaser Damage and are Banished to the Terran universe for several seconds. Foes hit by the projectile before it expands take extra damage and are banished for longer. The Terran Empire has spent a great deal of resources learning how to travel to our universe, and they have a great deal of experience weaponizing their technology. It was only a matter of time before they combined the two. This console additionally provides a passive bonus to Exotic Particle Generators and Phaser Damage. This console may be equipped on any ship in any console slot. Projects a Rift forward that temporarily banishes Foes into the Terran Universe The Rift expands and is destroyed after traveling 8km To Foes hit while the rift moves forward (4km area): Phaser Damage + Banished for several seconds To Foes hit when the rift expands (8km area): Phaser Damage (less) + Banished for a few seconds (Banished foes cannot be seen or targeted, and cannot move or act.) Starship Trait – Controlled Aggression While this trait is slotted, activating a Universal Console or Temporal Operative Bridge Officer Ability grants a bonus to your Control Expertise skill based on your current amount of Exotic Particle Generators skill. Subsequent activations will refresh this buff’s duration. + 5 to +30 Control Expertise (scales with Exotic Particle Generators) for 20 seconds. Terran Adamant Heavy Raider [T6] Sleek, aggressive, and armed to the teeth, this light and maneuverable craft represents the pinnacle of modern Terran engineering. It's streamlined and lightweight design is a stark departure in ship construction philosophy from the Terran propensity toward enormous citadels and imposing cruisers, yet this menacing vessel has proven itself a capable strike craft that anyone would be foolish to underestimate based solely on its size. This starship includes a Commander Tactical / Intelligence specialist bridge officer seat and a Lieutenant Universal / Temporal Operative specialist bridge officer seat. Costume Information: The Adamant-class Heavy Raider is a new 25th-century iteration on the Defiant family. These powerful weapons are built with the unique quality of occasionally dealing additional damage-over-time to foes, rather than being able to knock subsystems offline. They still draw additional Engine Power when firing, just like their counterparts. Experimental Weapon – Terran Repeating Warhead Launcher The specialized warhead launchers have a narrow firing arc, but fire multiple times at your chosen foe, dealing repeated kinetic damage. A portion of this damage bypasses shields, and critical hits with this weapon will hit harder by default than that of other weaponry. 135’ Targeting Arc Heavy Kinetic Damage x3 (20% Shield Penetration) over 2 seconds (8sec recharge) +30% Critical Severity with this Weapon Console – Universal – Agony Redistributor Agony technology has come a long way since only being usable in stationary modules, on a personal scale. This application of the technology will send rippling streams of agonizing energy through the crews of multiple ships at once, while simultaneously tearing into their hull, based on the energy it can redirect from that damage that is dealt to a single chosen starship. Thus, the Agony Redistributor acts as a force multiplier in the truest interpretation of the phrase. This console additionally provides a passive bonus to Flight Speed and Inertia Rating. This console may be equipped on any ship in any console slot. Each second for up to 15 seconds: Amount of Hull Depleted from Target is Stored Each second, deals Phaser Damage equal to 33% of Stored value (ignores Shields and Half Resistances) to up to 20 foes within 5km of Target Foe Starship Trait – Wild Weasel Activating Evasive Maneuvers, or any Intel Bridge Officer Ability, will call in a Wild Weasel Shuttle to distract nearby enemies. Up to 20 nearby targetable torpedoes and/or mines will be drawn toward the mobile decoy, as well as the 5 nearest enemy vessels being Taunted into attacking it. The Wild Weasel is extremely sturdy for a fighter craft, but will eventually be destroyed by the punishment it calls down upon itself. This pet may only be created once every 45 seconds. Terran Trailblazer Science Warship [T6] Even in the fleets of a conquering, expansion-minded Empire, there is still a need for exotic research, and scientific discovery. This vessel has married these needs with aggressive armaments and experimental subsystems to create a synergy of destructive forces in the shape of a starship. No unknown is too dangerous for the captains of these versatile and hardy vessels. This starship includes a Lieutenant Tactical / Miracle Worker specialist bridge officer seat and a Commander Science / Command specialist bridge officer seat. Costume Information: The Trailblazer takes the elegant stylings of the Pathfinder Long-Range science vessel and does what the Terrans do best: straps a bunch of guns to it. Reskava, under the leadership of Captain Kuumaarke of the Terran Empire. This miniaturized drone version of the emitter used by the Shield Ship in that encounter lasts for a much smaller duration, but can also be employed far more rapidly in the field. Once deployed, the Rampart Deflection Drone will render your starship completely immune to incoming damage for a brief period. The drone itself is still susceptible to damage however, and may be destroyed by savvy enemies. This console additionally provides a passive bonus to Shield Capacity and Critical Severity (the latter scales based on your current Starship Exotic Particle Generators skill). The Klingon Empire Wants You!
The Klingon Civil War is over, and true-hearted warriors are needed to ensure a glorious future. All Klingons worthy of the name must join the fight! The Empire has redoubled its recruiting efforts, and from the shadows the most promising are redirected to a new path. New Klingon Captains will be known as Klingon Recruits, and they bring with them the backing of their shadowy patron. In 2021, the Klingon Starting Experience was completely reimagined, meaning that these Recruits will also have a completely reworked, modern starting story. There will never be a better time to make a Klingon in Star Trek Online than during the Klingon Recruitment event, which runs from February 9th to March 9th. Characters made during this time will be Klingon Recruits, and they will earn a host of new benefits and rewards to aid them in their leveling experience. Klingon Recruits are designed to emphasize the unique experience of being a warrior of the Empire. They have a number of advantages designed to close the gap that exists between new characters and characters that have been in Star Trek Online for years, all built around the glories of combat. But these Recruits have a secondary responsibility. Their mysterious patron is dead-set on removing Enemies of the Empire. After contacting Klingon Recruits during the tutorial, they are likely to move against these Enemies, attaching additional dangers and rewards to missions along the Klingon Storyline. Recruits who succeed against these Enemies will find themselves with a new T6 Bird-of-Prey that scales with their level. Each recruit’s own Transponder will give them details of their objectives. Klingon Recruits will have a list of goals that they can achieve at any time, and completing these goals will see them rewarded with equipment, Marks, and other rewards. Many are not only beneficial to the Klingon Recruit, but to all characters on the same account. Completing story arcs will reward you with a unique Ground Universal Kit, completing Ambush Kills in space and Melee Kills on the ground will unlock a Starship Trait and Ground Personal Trait, and all three of these rewards can be shared for all characters on your account. Klingon Recruits can only be created during the Klingon Recruit event. These recruits can be recognized by the Klingon Symbol next to their names. All Klingon Recruits will have an inherent bonus trait during the Klingon Recruit Event of periodically granting a cache of Dilithium Ore upon defeating enemies, a bonus which extends to your entire group—the Recruit’s mysterious patron appreciates the allies of their ally. This trait will only be available during this event and will be gone once the Klingon Recruitment event ends, so gather your Dilithium Ore while you can! Additional rewards are gained by leveling up, playing through story content up through the Klingon Civil War story arc, and finding special Klingon Recruit objectives on certain mission maps. Many of the same things that players do while levelling their characters will earn Klingon Recruits improved rewards! Some highlights include: T6 Scaling Bird-Of-Prey (Recruit and Account – See Below for More Details) Starship Trait that provides windows of opportunity to Cloak safely during combat and improves rewards for doing so (Recruit and Account) Special Bat’leth that scales as you perform Melee Kills (Recruit and Account) Ground Personal Trait that provides scaling bonuses for Melee Kills (Recruit and Account) Endeavor Perk Experience bonus (Recruit and Account) Ground Universal Kit – Piezoelectric Execution Sceptre (Recruit and Account) Very Rare Duty Officer with Crit Energy Weapons Officer Trait (Recruit only) Unique Duty Officer and Admiralty Card (Recruit and account) And lots more, including: Gear, Upgrades, Marks, Elite Marks, and Dilithium to help kick-start the recruit, as well as account-wide Marks, Elite Marks, Dilithium and Upgrades to share the glory! M’Chla Refit Bird of Prey With the recent return of some House Mo’Kai Warriors to the fold – previously lost to time and Aakar’s influence – Klingon engineers have gained a boon. Some of these warriors are engineers, who carry with them secrets of the ancient Klingon technology that guided the empire before the houses were united.
