Starting in the next Infinity Promotion, we’re adding some new high-end recipes to the game.  The components for these recipes can be found in Elite TFOs or in the Infinity Promotion Research and Development Pack, and both components and crafted items can be traded on the exchange. The new recipes come in two flavors: Advanced Consoles and Advanced Batteries. The batteries are straightforward upgrades to existing batteries and are described below. Both can be crafted in the R&D menu using the new component items. Advanced Consoles Advanced Consoles are a new sort of console that works much like a normal one, with one exception: Advanced Consoles of one profession cannot be mixed with Advanced Consoles from another profession. So, while you could mix and match Advanced Science Consoles, you could not equip one Advanced Science Console and one Advanced Engineering Console at the same time. The four new Advanced Consoles, two Science and two Engineering, are described below. We’re also adding the Advanced designator to the existing Vulnerability Locator and Exploiter Tactical Consoles to inform how they interact with the new consoles. Just as the existing now-Advanced Tactical Consoles provide bonuses to Critical Chance or Severity, the new Advanced Consoles provide bonuses to performance in a way that scales similarly – the more a Captain collects gear that complements the Advanced Consoles, the more benefit those Advanced Consoles provide, just as it is with the Vulnerability Locators and Exploiters. The new Advanced Consoles can support a wide variety of mods, so Captains can craft an Advanced Engineering Console with EPG or an Advanced Science Console with Phaser Damage. Console - Advanced Engineering - Isomagnetic Plasma Distribution Manifold The most straightforward of the bunch, this console improves Weapon Power and Max Weapon Power. It stacks with all other forms of Max Weapon Power. Console - Advanced Engineering - Hangar Craft Power Transmission This Console improves the Weapon Power and Max Weapon Power of pets, as well as providing Bonus Torpedo damage to them. The buffs are increased by 40% per Rank, so 5 star Hangar pets receive +200% of the bonus, or 3x total. Max 25 pets affected. Console - Advanced Science - Energy Field Gradient Projector This Console adds a powerful Shield Siphon enhancement to all Drain effects, Draining Foe Shields and Healing the user's Shields. Each Console equipped improves the power accordingly, so 3 Consoles makes it 3x as strong and so on. The amount Drained scales with Drain Expertise and the amount of Shield Healed scales with both Shield Healing and Drain Expertise. Defeating a Foe during Shield Siphon provides a stack of Analysis (max 50) until the player is defeated or leaves the map. Each Console provides increased Hull Penetration per stack of Analysis. Console - Advanced Science - Exotic Particle Amplifier This Console provides Base BOFF Ability Damage based on EPG (up to 500) and Bonus non-BOFF Ability Exotic Damage based on your EPG (up to 500). Advanced Batteries  Six new crafted batteries are part of this update. Canonized during Star Trek Picard’s Season 3, the Enterprise NCC-1701-F began its journey into the final frontier over a decade ago, as Cryptic Studios’ own manifestation of the Enterprise Legacy.   Derived from Adam Ihle’s winning submission to Cryptic’s “Design the Next Enterprise” competition, the Enterprise-F would see a long iteration and development process under the guidance of then STO Art Lead Jeremy Mattson and STO Starship Artist Adam Williams. Williams’ work on the Enterprise F would prove a turning point in the design philosophy of Star Trek Online’s starships, embracing a sleek and organic future extrapolated from classic Star Trek ships like the USS Enterprise-E and the USS Voyager. In 2022, Star Trek: Picard Production Designer Dave Blass reached out to the Star Trek Online team about adding the Enterprise F to the show. While it needed a lot of work, we jumped at the opportunity to finally canonize our flagship on an actual Star Trek television show.   And so, the Odyssey-class Enterprise F was totally rebuilt to the highest detail level of any Star Trek Online starship. It received a brand new material and a bespoke set of window visuals as well. The model was done just in time for use in Picard, and now, over a year after work began on it, we are very pleased to announce that this remastered version of the Odyssey-class Star Cruiser will soon be available in Star Trek Online. This remaster will go live with the upcoming Flagship Celebration event. To see the updated visuals, ready any of your Odyssey variants and visit the ship customization interface. Initially, on Earth, the term “flag ship” referred to the ship of an Admiral. The ship would fly the Admiral’s flag, letting the rest of the ships in her squadron know where their commander was on the battlefield, and leading the charge into battle. Hundreds of years later, the Federation, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Republic and the Jem’Hadar all use the same word (translated from various languages) to denote the ship that sallys forth at the front of any formation. Captains and Adventurers, all! We come to you with tidings! (Is that how the Neverwinter folks speak? We’ll get there.) For those of you who don’t already know me, my name is Mike Fatum, also known as Ambassador Kael, and I am the Senior Community Manager at Cryptic Studios. In the past few months, there have been some shifts in how Community operates at Cryptic, with the amazing, talented, and a hundred other adjectives Julia Fredrickson following her dreams into a Production role on Neverwinter. As she moves on to the next stage of her career, I’m also changing my responsibilities. As the Senior Community Manager, I am now in charge of Community for all three games at Cryptic Studios. I’m really excited to dive into Neverwinter more, while still making sure the communities of Star Trek Online and Champions Online are heard. Julia will still be around, especially answering all of the frantic questions I’ll have about Neverwinter, and you’ll probably still see her on livestreams talking about the features she’s producing! And speaking of livestreams: One of the things I love to do here at Cryptic is connect you all to the developers via live streams. It’s a great way to get feedback directly to the team, and also for all of you to get to know us better. As the CM for Neverwinter, I want to get Driftwood Tavern Presents happening more regularly. Initially, I was looking into adding yet another night of streaming to my week, but I don’t think I can do that and also keep up the rest of my new and old duties. So instead, both Driftwood Tavern Presents and Ten Forward Weekly will be moving to a bi-weekly schedule, alternating Tuesdays at 4:30 pm PT, on our Twitch Channel, Facebook Page and Youtube Channel. This starts next Tuesday, May 16th, with the first bi-weekly Driftwood Tavern Presents. General:   Resolved an issue that allowed captains to accidentally delete mail with attachments.  Updated the mail system to allow captains to retrieve items from the mail without needing to be at a mail console.  Resolved an issue in the mission “Wish Upon A Star” that was causing the wrong audio to play for some voice lines.  Resolved various text issues in the mission “Wish Upon A Star”.  Resolved an issue with the Gorn Hunter Pilot Escort that caused the warping animation to be brighter than intended.  Resolved an issue that prevented the proper visuals from appearing on both the Phaser Compression Pistol (2259c) and the Phaser Pistol (2259c).  Updated the description of the Gorn Plasma Quad Cannons to better reflect what the item.    Known Issues:  Some ships do not appear properly positioned on the character select screen.  In the mission “Wish Upon A Star” there is a chance that Bridge Officers will stop following captains when the captain enters combat far ahead of the Bridge Officers.

With the launch of Star Trek Online: Unraveled, Captains on PC will be able to defend classic Starfleet locations from a myriad of threats, in two new Patrols: Bringer of War and Jupiter Gauntlet. These new patrols will both pit you against a random type of opponent, making every run slightly different. They are also the first patrols to feature a new Hard Mode. The difference between the two modes is entirely in the enemies you will face. The Tholians perch atop their webs, waiting to entrap you, Captains. Do you dare draw closer? From May 9th at 8am PT to June 8th at 12pm PT, you can participate in The Looming Threats event. This new event will pit you against the Terran Empire in scenarios new and familiar, and give you the chance to claim an epic reward, the Crystal Harmonics Space Set. Event Progress Participating in this event grants daily progress towards the Grand Prize: The Crystal Harmonics Space Set. The Grand Prize requires 40 daily progress, and Captains can earn daily progress once per account per day by playing either the new episode or Task Force Operation released this season, or any of the other episodes or Task Force Operations in the event. Completing the episode awards two points, while completing a TFO or Patrol awards one point. They are as follows: "Wish Upon a Star" (New episode) Leviathan (New Space TFO) Azure Nebula Rescue (Space TFO) Days of Doom (Space TFO) Vault: Ensnared (Space TFO) Patrols: Jupiter Gauntlet (normal/hard) Bringers of War (normal/hard)   Once Captains have obtained 40 daily progress on their account, they can claim the Crystal Harmonics Space Set After that, the event will still be playable, granting a scaling Dilithium reward that begins at 8,000 Dilithium Ore and scales by 1,000 Dilithium Ore for every day you participate in the event, up to a cap of 50,000 Dilithium Ore per day. Captains will also have the option to purchase their remaining progress in the event with Zen. The price for this buyout will be pro-rated, based on the amount of progress a Captain has completed. Crystal Harmonics Space Set Obtaining the Grand Prize in this event grants you four pieces of space gear to use on your favorite starship, depending  These items introduce a new mechanic, the Tholian Warp Crystal. When a Warp Crystal is created, it will wait until a ship collides with it. If the ship is an enemy, it will explode, but if the ship is an ally, it will grant them a secondary shield. Omni-Directional Interlacing Tetryon Beam Array The Omni-Directional Interlacing Tetryon Beam Array offers a 360-degree firing arc, in addition to being able to utilize the standard function. This weapon shares an equip limit with other crafted and weapon pack Omni-Directional Beams. Tholian Nucleating Singularity Core Tholian Nucleating Singularity Core creates a number of Tholian Warp Crystals when a foe is defeated. Additionally, it increases Hull Capacity based on shield power. This warp core has been modified with Tholian crystalization technology, that uses warp power to harden hulls and create Tholian Warp Crystals. Tholian Nucleating Warp Core Tholian Nucleating Warp Core creates a number of Tholian Warp Crystals when a foe is defeated. Additionally, it increases Hull Capacity based on shield power. This warp core has been modified with Tholian crystalization technology, that uses warp power to harden hulls and create Tholian Warp Crystals.  Tholian Enhanced E.A.C. Shield Tholian Enchanced Emergency Ablative Crystaline (E.A.C.) Shield is a Covariant Shield Array which has been enhanced with Tholian technology.  It provides an emergency second shield when overall shield capacity is low. Of note: There is one more piece to this set, which you can obtain by completing the new mission, Wish Upon a Star. Console – Universal – Tholian Crystalline Interlacer This console utilizes Tholian technology enhance Tetryon Damage and applies a Tholian Web on the target. The web holds the target in place and deals damage over time. Equipping more than one item in the set grants a set bonus, as described below: Tholian Crystal Harmonics 4 piece item set Tholian Harmonics (2 Piece Bonus) Increased Crit Chance and Crit Severity against target when using Tetryon Tetryon Nucleation (3 Piece Bonus) Chance on hit to create a Crystal when using Tetryon damage. The bridge of the A.F.S. Khitomer was designed for comfort, in every way. The Captain’s chair molded itself around Captain Kagran’s posterior in a way that, he imagined, was meant to make him feel supported and safe. He hated it. Three separate requests to replace it with the Captain’s Chair from his previous ship had been denied. And so, Kagran sank once again into this comfortable chair and surveyed the crew of the Khitomer. They were excellent, all of them. Hardened in the greatest battles since the Iconian War. And yet- Did that ensign have a cup of Raktajino at her station? It seemed this was the pattern. The flagship of the fledgling Khitomer Alliance would wade into a massive conflict, and Kagran’s crew would all be at their absolute best. And then the crisis was over, and everyone began to relax. Even the Klingons on board were not honing their Bat’leth skills regularly. Kagran knew that using Klingon tactics to whip this crew into shape would hurt moral amongst the other races that served under him. That was why he had been given the honor of command, because his superiors believed he could manage the task of a crew this diverse. And he could. He would. But he did miss his old chair. What he needed was a Crisis on call, he decided. Something he could use to whip this crew into fighting fit at a moment’s notice. Like the Battle at the Binary Stars simulation. Or that one about evacuating Mars that he’d run the crew through. But on a grander scale. Something daring, and bold, that the crew would never forget. After a moment, he tapped his comm badge. “This is VanZyl.” Sometimes, he would have to wait a moment to get a response. Never with VanZyl. She was always ready for action. “Lt. Commander. Tell me, do we still have the detailed holoscans of the surface of The Other?” “I don’t throw things away, Captain.” “Excellent. Meet me in my ready room.” Kagran pushed himself out of the comfort of his chair, and a broad smile crossed his face. This would certainly shake some of the crew’s cobwebs loose.   __________________________________________________   At the end of the Terran Gambit story arc, you faced the power of The Other in a terrifying and thrilling way, by piloting your starship directly down its central trench. This harrowing battle is coming back to Star Trek Online, but this time you’ll face it with a team at your side. In the upcoming Task Force Operation, Leviathan, a team of five starship Captains will again forge a path down the back of The Other, with all three trenches open for battle.
