The Klingon Empire is Recruiting
The Klingon Empire is divided, and true-hearted warriors are needed to ensure a glorious future. All Klingons worthy of the name must join the fight! Both sides of the divide in the Empire have redoubled their recruiting efforts, and from the shadows the most promising are redirected to a new path. New Klingon Captains will be known as Klingon Recruits, and they bring with them the backing of their shadowy patron. With the launch of the Anniversary Update, the Klingon Starting Experience will be completely reimagined, meaning that these Recruits will also have a completely reworked, modern starting story. There will never be a better time to make a Klingon in Star Trek Online than during the Klingon Recruitment event, which runs from January 26th to February 25th. Characters made during this time will be Klingon Recruits, and they will earn a host of new benefits and rewards to aid them in their leveling experience. Klingon Recruits are designed to emphasize the unique experience of being a warrior of the Empire. They have a number of advantages designed to close the gap that exists between new characters and characters that have been in Star Trek Online for years, all built around the glories of combat. But these Recruits have a secondary responsibility. Their mysterious patron is dead-set on removing Enemies of the Empire. After contacting Klingon Recruits during the tutorial, they are likely to move against these Enemies, attaching additional dangers and rewards to missions along the Klingon Storyline. Recruits who succeed against these Enemies will find themselves with a new T6 Bird-of-Prey that scales with their level. Each recruit’s own Transponder will give them details of their objectives. Klingon Recruits will have a list of goals that they can achieve at any time, and completing these goals will see them rewarded with equipment, Marks, and other rewards. Many are not only beneficial to the Klingon Recruit, but to all characters on the same account. Completing story arcs will reward you with a unique Ground Universal Kit, completing Ambush Kills in space and Melee Kills on the ground will unlock a Starship Trait and Ground Personal Trait, and all three of these rewards can be shared for all characters on your account. Klingon Recruits can only be created during the Klingon Recruit event. These recruits can be recognized by the Klingon Symbol next to their names. All Klingon Recruits will have an inherent bonus trait during the Klingon Recruit Event of periodically granting a cache of Dilithium Ore upon defeating enemies, a bonus which extends to your entire group—the Recruit’s mysterious patron appreciates the allies of their ally. This trait will only be available during this event and will be gone once the Klingon Recruitment event ends, so gather your Dilithium Ore while you can! Additional rewards are gained by leveling up, playing through story content up through the Klingon Civil War story arc, and finding special Klingon Recruit objectives on certain mission maps. Many of the same things that players do while levelling their characters will earn Klingon Recruits improved rewards! Some highlights include: T6 Scaling Bird-Of-Prey (Recruit and Account – See Below for More Details) Starship Trait that provides windows of opportunity to Cloak safely during combat and improves rewards for doing so (Recruit and Account) Special Bat’leth that scales as you perform Melee Kills (Recruit and Account) Ground Personal Trait that provides scaling bonuses for Melee Kills (Recruit and Account) Endeavor Perk Experience bonus (Recruit and Account) Ground Universal Kit – Piezoelectric Execution Sceptre (Recruit and Account) Very Rare Duty Officer with Crit Energy Weapons Officer Trait (Recruit only) Unique Duty Officer and Admiralty Card (Recruit only) And lots more, including: Gear, Upgrades, Marks, Elite Marks, and Dilithium to help kick-start the recruit, as well as account-wide Marks, Elite Marks, Dilithium and Upgrades to share the glory! Get ready to make your Klingon Recruit (all accounts are getting one extra free character slot), and keep watching between now and January 26th for more information. M’Chla Refit Bird of Prey With the recent return of some House Mo’Kai Warriors to the fold – previously lost to time and Aakar’s influence – Klingon engineers have gained a boon. Some of these warriors are engineers, who carry with them secrets of the ancient Klingon technology that guided the empire before the houses were united. They have combined this with the modern technology and ship design to make some startling breakthroughs, the first of which is the M’Chla Refit Bird of Prey. This ship, designed for new Klingon Recruits, is a breakthrough in technology that allows mass production on a scale the Klingon Empire had never before reached. Command Any Ship
It’s like Shaka all over again – walls falling all over the place! With the release of Star Trek Online’s 11th Anniversary update, we are releasing a feature that will allow players of all factions to fly the starship of their choice, regardless of the default allegiance associated with that ship. Does this mean a KDF Dahar Master can finally command a Section 31 Command Heavy Battlecruiser? It certainly does! Does this mean a dedicated Federation Admiral can now sit at the helm of a D4x Kelvin Pilot Bird-of-Prey? That’s true, as well! Read on to learn what you can do to unlock this new account-wide feature! True to the Empire Access to this game-changing feature will be automatically granted to any and all accounts that have a character that reaches Level 65 as a member of the Klingon Defense Force. Species is unimportant, so long as that captain began his or her career aboard a Klingon vessel, even if they are Gorn, Orion, Nausicaan, or any of the other citizens of the modern Klingon Empire that don’t call Qo’noS their homeworld. This means that members of the Romulan Republic or The Dominion that are allied with the KDF do not qualify to meet this requirement. The character must be fully dedicated to the Empire, and not just an ally. This includes accounts that already have a Level 65 KDF character! Simply log into the game on that character to have their status verified, and access to Cross-Faction Starships will be automatically unlocked. Financial Superiority For players looking to skip the level-up process and jump straight into the unrestricted fun of flying any ship they like, there will be the option to purchase this unlock from the Zen Store for the cost of 2,000 Zen. Special Introductory Pricing! On PC, from January 26th, 2021 until the end of the Anniversary Event on February 25th, 2021, this special unlock will be discounted 50% OFF, leaving the price at only 1,000 Zen. What’s Included? We have done our best to ensure that the freedom that coincides with this feature will meet player expectations, and thus have arranged for all of the following to be updated for player use, regardless of Allegiance, for players that have unlocked this feature: Starships Admiralty Ships Registry and Prefixes Bridges and Interiors Any and All Pre-Equipped Gear Consoles Experimental Weapons Hangar Pets … etc. This does not mean that restrictions have been entirely removed, however. For example, Experimental Weapons will still only be usable on starships that have an Experimental Weapon Slot, and ship class restrictions that may exist on certain Hangar Pets will remain in place. Obtaining the Cross-Faction Starship unlock will also un-restrict existing purchases from the Zen Store, allowing Klingons to claim Federation ships and bundles, and vice versa, if you already own them. The Zen Store and Starship Vendors have been updated to contain additional cross-faction reclaim options for any account with the feature unlocked. Caveats Since players will now have a way to access Starships they previously could not, we have chosen to remove many “Cross-Faction Packs” that were previously available in places like the Lobi Store, and some Lock Box or Promo Packs. The packs we’re referring to are those that contained only the Console, Starship Trait, and similar items, and were offered to members of the opposite faction when a certain premium Starship could not be flown by their chosen faction. Existing versions of these packs will remain unchanged, but new ones will no longer be accessible. To unlock the features they previously contained, you may now obtain the Starship with which they are associated. .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11483253-command-any-ship

The Year of Klingon: Part 3
Glory and honor to you, for the third part of the Year of Klingon is upon us! As we announced nearly a year ago, we've bent our efforts towards improving the Klingon experience this year, with updated ships, NPC models, a brand new story, and a complete overhaul of the Klingon Starting Experience. While the story of the Klingon Civil War won't reach it's conclusion until the spring, we're proud to announce that we've completed the overhaul of the Klingon Starting Experience. Starting with our Anniversary Update, there will never be a better time to create a new KDF character and play through these classic missions, reimagined for a new era. Experience new cutscenes, character models, and environments for perhaps the greatest chapter of the Klingon story: your personal journey into Grethor. Of course, no journey into Klingon hell would be complete without some demons to battle. The Fek'Ihri, whether you believe they are the actual Klingon spirits or a creation of Dominion science, are one of the hallmarks of these Missions, and we couldn't let it go without giving them some love as well. The entire critter group has gotten new materials courtest of our amazing Character Artists, giving them a look to match their terrifying reputation. Once you descend into Grethor, you will need to battle for your very soul, and the only way to do that is to face the three demons the Klingons fear most: Cowardice, Dishonor, and Treachery. These spirits now return with a brand new look, new boss mechanics to make their fights truly memorable, and a complete backstory for each character. We'll be revealing more of that in the days to come, but for now, get a look at the completely redesigned Dishonorable Three. (Click on the arrows to move between pictures.) Nxt Prv .carousel-control.left, .carousel-control.right { background: none !important; filter: progid: none !important; outline: 0; } .carousel .carousel-control { visibility: hidden; } .carousel:hover .carousel-control { visibility: visible; } Of course, we can't only give a facelift to the denizens of the Underworld. As part of this update, we've redone S'gen, son of Torg, a swordmaster who stands between you and justice. And we've redone the model for the most important Klingon to ever live. Kahless himself looks better than ever, with a modern model that truly befits the Unforgettable. Nxt Finally, we've given Klingons more options to play with their hair, with several classic Klingon hairs coming to the game. These include a look inspired by Worf himself. These hairs are usable by Male and Female characters, both Discovery Era and 2410 Era Klingons. Take a look: .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11483233-the-year-of-klingon%3A-part-3

Command the Dhailkhina Warbird
The Lobi Crystal Consortium is pleased to announce that it has acquired a starship from a recently disgraced section of double secret Romulan Intelligence, the Zhat Vash’s Dhailkhina Command Strike Wing Warbird. This powerful strike vessel was built to the highest standards in the secretes shipyards, only recently seeing the light of day. And now, this starship can be yours! The Dhailkhina Command Strike Wing Warbird [T6] will be available within the Picard Lockbox, coming soon to Star Trek Online! This new starship can be used as soon as you’ve completed the tutorial, and will scale with you as you level up all the way to max level! For the details on this ship, read on! Dhailkhina Command Strike Wing Warbird [T6] The Dhailkhina was built to be the command vessel of a fleet intended to protect all biological life from the threat of annihilation. With the Romulan’s typical strike first mentality in mind, it features a powerful Battle Cloaking device to get the jump on its targets, an aggressive weapons layout, a hangar bay of strike craft well suited for recon or fighting, and impressive team coordination abilities. Should it ever engage in battle, there’s little question as to who would come out on top. This starship features a Commander Tactical/Command Specialist Bridge Officer seat and a Lieutenant Commander Universal/Intel Specialist Bridge Officer seat. This console also provides a passive boost to Plasma Damage and Critical Hit Chance. This console can be equipped on any starship, in any console slot. Only one of these consoles may be equipped on a ship at a time. Experimental Weapon - Carbon Scorcher The Carbon Scorcher deals physical damage to its target. Additionally, the impact leaves behind a molecular solvent that eats through inorganic material, dealing heavy physical damage over time and decreasing the damage resistance rating of the target. Starship Trait - Commanded Singularities While this trait is slotted, activating any Command or Singularity ability will summon a micro singularity at your current target for several seconds, dealing kinetic damage and pulling foes inwards. If you do not have a foe targeted, it will instead appear 5km in front of you. This can only occur once per several seconds. Snakehead Squadron Hangar Pets The Zhat Vash developed the Snakehead fighters to aid their larger starships in battle. These fighters are extremely nimble and use their Zhat Vash weaponry to destructive effect. Owning the Dhailkhina Command Strike Wing Warbird will unlock purchase of these new fighter pets. These fighter pets may be equipped on any other starship you own that has a hangar bay. The Dhailkhina comes equipped with one hangar of Snakeheads, and additional may be purchased from the EC Store, with Advanced and Elite versions available through the Dilithium and Fleet vendors, respectively. Make it So
As the Star Trek franchise enters its 55th year, we are witnessing a renaissance of the universe it presents to us, with new and continuing modern shows continuing to air, each exploring more and more strange new worlds, and occasionally giving us a look at the continuing missions of characters that we fans may consider something akin to old friends. The Lock Box that will be releasing alongside Star Trek Online’s 11th Anniversary celebrates just one such mission, by pulling inspiration from the technology and stories seen during the adventures of the retired Admiral Jean-Luc Picard and the eclectic collection of characters found aboard La Sirena. Star Trek Online has had something of a tradition for tying up loose ends show on-screen, and contains numerous missions that follow on the heels of unfinished stories we saw during the televised episodes. To witness the canon universe doing the same during the course of Star Trek: Picard’s first season was a treat, and further evidence of the endless stories of this beloved franchise has to offer, if we are only bold enough to go in search of them. Opening the Box Opening a Picard Zhat Vash Lock Box requires the use of a Master Key, which may be purchased from the Zen Store for 125 Zen apiece, or in a 10-pack for 1000 Zen. Each box that is opened will contain one of the following prizes: Grand Prize: Dhailkhina Command Strike Wing Warbird [T6] The aggressive posture of this flagship of the Zhat Vash fleet seems custom made to appear threatening, even while powered down and stationary. Commanded on-screen by the turncoat agent Commodore Oh, this impressive and agile ship can be flown by captains of any allegiance, and boasts a full suite of Command Specialization abilities, Singularity abilities, and one hangar bay pre-equipped with brand new Snakehead Squadron Fighters, found only aboard this ship. Complete details on this vessel will be published in a separate dev blog. Stay tuned! Starship Trait One Impossible Thing at a Time When you activate any Captain Ability, you and all teammates will receive an immediate reduction to Captain Ability Recharge Times. Each player affected by this may only benefit from the reduction once every 5 seconds. When activating a Captain Ability, to Self and Team: -5% Recharge Time on Captain Abilities (Does not affect the ability used to trigger the effect, nor abilities that reduce cooldowns such as Tactical Initiative.) Personal Traits Zhat Vash Venom (Ground Trait) Close-range attacks will occasionally trigger a spray of toxic damage in a short-ranged cone. Additionally, after being defeated in battle you will spray the area around your body with additional toxic damage. When attacking a foe within 5m, 20% chance to deal Toxic Damage DOT to up to 3 foes in a 5m cone. On death: Heavy Toxic DOT to all foes within 5m, after a 3sec delay Choose to Live (Ground Trait) Issue an ultimatum to a group of chosen foes: Either they will be unwilling to fight you, or they will suffer a severe debuff against resisting damage dealt by Melee Attacks. It is their choice, if they wish to live, or not. Chose to Live: Placated for 15sec (fragile) Chose to Die: -200 All Damage Resistance Rating vs. Melee Attacks for 15sec Blue Skies (Space Trait) Starting at 75% Hull, you will gain increasing bonuses to Flight Speed, Turn Rate, and Defense Rating as your Hull continues to fall lower and lower, maxing out when you are at 25% Hull. This bonus is recalculated every 0.5 sec. Up to +50 Defense Rating and +200% Flight Speed and Turn Rate, based on missing Hull. Abundance of Caution (Space Trait) You are just paranoid enough to protect yourself from surprise engagements, whether they be from confused allies unable to tell friend from foe, or from sudden ambushes of decloaking or surprise enemies that initiate combat while already in close proximity. +200 All Damage Resistance Rating vs. Confused Allies and Enemies On Entering Combat, if nearest enemy isQuelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11483163-make-it-so

Become a Klingon Warrior of 2255!
When Matriarch J'ula traveled forward in time to 2411, she brought with her a seemingly endless array of Klingon Warriors from her era. Many of these Klingons fought and died, first for J'Ula, then for the Mad Aakar. But many did not. Upon finding themselves in a new century, they chose to see what this new Empire could offer them, defecting to become a part of the Klingon Defense Force. Even when the Klingon Empire was shattered, many loyal soldiers stayed, fighting alongside their fellow Warriors of this century. Now, it is up to you to tell their tale. We're proud to announce that, beginning with our anniversary update, you will be able to play a Discovery Era Klingon in Star Trek Online. This type of Klingon will be a new race option upon creating a KDF character, and will come with a brand new outfit exclusive to this race. What will this timelost Warrior think of 2411? That is up to you to decide, as you become a new type of Klingon. tlhIngan maH taHjaj! .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11483173-become-a-klingon-warrior-of-2255%21

11th Anniversary Event!
As Star Trek Online rounds out the eleventh year of its tour in the Star Trek universe, we are pleased to kick off the festivities for our Anniversary Celebration starting on PC on January 26th, 2021 and continuing until February 25th, 2021. (Console dates will be announced at a later date.) All of the usual activities will contribute toward your Daily Progress in the Event, eventually earning your way toward the Grand Prize – a Tier 6 Ship! Keep reading to reveal what activities and prizes await those who join us to celebrate the 11th Anniversary. Event Grand Prize – Temer Class Alliance Raider (T6) Similar to the Khitomer-class Battlecruiser, the Alliance Raider blends technology of Alliance members. In this case, Romulan and Klingon technology combine to deliver a fast and powerful escort vessel capable of outmaneuvering and outgunning the enemy. Complete details on this cross-faction vessel will be released in the near future, so stay tuned! Earning the Alliance Raider for every character on your account is as simple as participating in any of the Anniversary Event’s eligible activities over the course of its run. Each day, players may earn up to 2 Daily Progress, with some activities worth 1 and some worth 2. Within the 30 days that the Event will be active, players that earn 40 or more Daily Progress may then claim this fine vessel and sail it into the stars! Part of the anniversary update will be two brand new episodes, "Knowledge is Power" and "Leap of Faith." We'll have more information on those story episodes when they go live, but they will be a part of this event, as seen below. Activities: Episodes – 2 Daily Progress The Centre Cannot Hold Khitomer Discord (New) Knowledge is Power (New) Leap of Faith TFOs – 2 Daily Progress Starbase One Mycelium Realm Peril over Pahvo Operation Riposte Patrols – 1 Daily Progress Rescue and Search Ruins of Doom Sentinels The Ninth Rule Within the Briars Omega Stabilization (Daily) – 1 Daily Progress Remember that earning additional Daily Progress also grants you scaling Dilithium Ore bonus rewards, after you have claimed the Grand Prize! Players unable to find the time to complete the Event, or interested in rushing to complete their progress, will have the opportunity to purchase the remainder of their Daily Progress using Zen at any time. The base price for this buyout will be discounted based on the amount of Daily Progress you have already accrued. Omega Molecule Stabilization Game Q is up to his annual shenanigans. He will once again be rewarding captains for stabilizing Omega Particles found in various social zones in Star Trek Online. Talk to Q to get the mission “Omega Stabilization (Daily)” and you will be given three zones to visit where you must stabilize an Omega Particle by playing a minigame. The chosen zones will change periodically, inviting players to explore the vast expanses of space in order to complete this challenge. The minigame itself is simple - Omega molecules will fall in from the left in one of four channels. Captains will move the capture device into the correct channel as the molecule hits the right-hand line. The more molecules you capture, the more Omega molecules you’ll safely dissipate, and the more points you will score. Q doesn’t care how many points you score, just that you complete the minigame in order to receive credit for his Daily Mission. Doing so will grant you Daily Progress if you have not already earned it for the day, as well as the other standard rewards associated with this Daily Mission. The score received from the minigame does influence your rewards, however! The more points you score, the better chance you have at scoring better quality Omega particle remnants which can be used with the R&D system to craft special Omega Particle Tech Upgrades. Omega Traces come in the three different colors of the Omega nodes themselves. Using the R&D system you can combine 1 of each Trace into an Omega Sliver. You can them combine three Omega Slivers into an Omega Shard, and three Omega Shards into an Omega Fragment. Three Omega Fragments can then be combined into an Omega Tech Upgrade which costs no dilithium to apply, and supplies a massive dose of Technology and Research Points to whatever item it is applied to. Alternately, two Omega Fragments can be combined with varying amounts of Refined Dilithium to produce [Mark] and [Rarity] variations of the Omega Upgrade. These variants focus entirely on improving item Mark or Rarity, respectively, making them ideal for players seeking specific avenues of upgrading their equipment. Completing the minigame will always score you a single Omega Trace at the very least. The better you score, the greater your chance to win Omega Slivers, Shards, or even Fragments. Beginning with this year’s update, all Omega materials will be changed to Bind-to-Account-on-Pickup, rather than being tradeable with other players. However, refinement techniques have improved since the previous event, so rewards from the minigame will be a bit better, especially for those who score fewer points. New Party Popper! It wouldn’t be the anniversary without a brand new Party Popper to earn. The 11th Anniversary version of our annual toy-device invokes the furious celebration of Gre’thor! Flames and Fek’Ihri runes erupt so the whole universe may know extremely safe merriment, and if occasionally more than flames emerge, well, the more the merrier! We’ll see you at the party! .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11483093-11th-anniversary-event%21

The Voice of Time
Ageless. Immortal. The son of a Queen and a Spy. Tenavik is the guardian of the Time Crystals, on the planet Boreth, the holiest star in the Klingon Empire. This planet is where Kahless was destined to return, and indeed did return, of a sort. Now, the secrets of Boreth will bring about a new era for the Klingons - but not before our key players meet with Tenavik himself. In an upcoming update to Star Trek Online, the character of Tenavik will appear, as portrayed by Kenneth Mitchell on Star Trek: Discovery. Kenneth was originally going to portray the character for this update, and was incredibly excited to return to the role. Unfortunately, extenuating circumstances made that impossible. Instead, Kenneth hand chose an actor to take his place, a name that might be familiar to Star Trek Online fans: Sam Witwer. In addition to being a famous voice actor, known for playing some of our favorite baddies in other universes, Sam is also a gigantic fan of Star Trek Online. He's played our game for many years, and expressed several times that he'd like to join the cast. That the stars aligned to let him step into Kenneth's shoes, for a little bit, was wonderful. For the recording sesssion, Kenneth Mitchell sat in and coached Sam on how to portray the character, ensuring Sam's incredible talent was bent towards a pitch perfect performance of Tenavik. We'll have more information about this update coming soon, but in the meantime, check out this video from earlier this year, when we interviewed Sam about his love for Star Trek and STO: .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11483073-the-voice-of-time

Consoles and Ships in Mudd's, oh my!
It is a dark day in the galaxy, my friends. The Klingon Empire is shattered, split to the four winds. In such trying times as these, what use is money to you? No, what you need is protection, the kind that can only be provided by Harcourt Fenton Mudd! And I have scoured the galaxy for just the perfect things for you. What good are Orion Raiders when you can launch a crystal that fires hot plasma lightning? How can Mirror Universe incursions touch you when you can use their very attacks to heal yourself? Or perhaps you'd like to be a force to reckon with yourself. Strike first and hard with a carrier that I, personally, through several proxies, stole from Klingon Demons! Junior Officer and R&D Weekend!
We’re pleased to announce the return of the Research and Development Weekend! This event will run from December 24th at 8AM PT (17:00 CET) to Monday, December 28th at 10AM PT (19:00 CET), and features several bonuses throughout STO that will give Captains of all levels a leg up advancing their rank in the Research and Development school(s) of their choice. For those Captains looking specifically for extra help with their projects, all R&D packs throughout the game will give out an extra 25% of the items they currently disperse for the duration of this event. Queue R&D Material Reward Packages (Normal, Advanced and Elite) will reward 25% more R&D Materials and have a chance to reward a Catalyst. Alternatively, Captains wanting to advance through Research and Development schools as fast as possible should seek out Harvest Nodes, located in mission maps throughout STO, which will not only disperse 2 extra R&D Materials each time they are used, but will also reward 10 Dilithium Ore and have a chance to give out a R&D Catalyst during this event. For all Captains that work on a Research and Development project during this weekend event, those projects will reward an extra 50% of the appropriate Research and Development School XP. This includes projects to make components as well as those to make items. From December 24th at 8AM PT (17:00 CET) to Monday, December 28th at 10AM PT (19:00 CET), we are running a special weekend event where you can earn Bonus Commendation XP by completing any Duty Officer assignments! To those junior officers who work tirelessly in cramped Jefferies Tubes, perish namelessly on away missions, or provide the endless streams of reports and analysis necessary for a starship to function – this event is dedicated to you! During this event, you’ll gain a 50% increase in all Commendation XP earned by completion of Duty Officer assignments. You don’t need to do anything special for this bonus – it’s automatic. Receive a FREE* special Purple quality duty officer with a unique active roster power by speaking with your duty officer contact. For Starfleet officers and Romulan allies, this is an engineering Exocomp duty officer; for KDF officers and Romulan allies, it is a Reman duty officer. *This is not available if you already claimed it the last time we ran the event. Duty officer packs** opened during the event will each have a FREE additional Green quality or better duty officer inside. This only applies to C-Store purchased packs, not to those awarded during rank-up, from recruitment assignments or mini-packs. Also, it applies only to packs opened during the event, even if they are purchased prior to the event. **The packs included in this offer are: Delta Alliance Duty Officer Pack, Gamma Quadrant Duty Officer Cadre, Reinforcements Duty Officer Pack, Fleet Support Duty Officer Pack, Romulan Survivor Duty Officer Pack, Fleet Support Duty Officer Pack, Klingon Empire Duty Officer Pack and Federation Duty Officer Pack. The Academy particle scanning events are now part of the Junior Officer Appreciation Event! Visit Starfleet Academy or Klingon Academy during the event and speak to Professor Meyer or Commander B’Tama. Pick a cadet to train, then engage in scanning particles all about the academy grounds. As you scan and capture particles you’ll help to train the cadet, and in exchange your faction will release a new random Duty Officer to you. The more particles you scan, the better the quality of the officer you can claim! Scan a minimum of 5 traces to be rewarded a Common Duty Officer Scan a minimum of 25 traces to be rewarded a Uncommon Duty Officer Scan a minimum of 50 traces to be rewarded a Rare Duty Officer Scan a minimum of 75 traces to be rewarded a Very Rare Duty Officer Remember, additional reserve roster duty officer slots (in increments of 25 and 100) are available from the in-game C-Store, for up to a maximum of 500 reserve roster spaces. Have fun, and try not to send too many duty officers to Sickbay! .share-footer a { margin: 20px 10px 10px 0; background: url(https://pwimages-a.akamaihd.net/arc/d7/af/d7afaaa14e96d0d973f76157ae31ec5b1466398539.png) no-repeat 0 0; opacity: .5; display: inline-block; height: 60px; width: 60px; padding: 0; border: 1px solid transparent; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } .share-footer .TI { background-position: 0 20%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .YT { background-position: 0 40%; } .share-footer .TW { background-position: 0 60%; } .share-footer .FO { background-position: 0 80%; } .FB:hover { background-position: 100% 0%; } .TI:hover { background-position: 100% 20%; } .YT:hover { background-position: 100% 40%; } .TW:hover { background-position: 100% 60%; } .FO:hover { background-position: 100% 80%; } .share-footer a:hover { opacity: 1; -webkit-transition: opacity .3s; transition: opacity .3s; } $(document).ready( function() { $('.show-lightbox').click(function() { var $el = $(this); var link = $el.data().lightbox; $.colorbox({href: link, maxWidth: '90%', maxHeight: '90%', scalePhotos: true}); }); }); .headerimage { border: 2px inset rgba(255, 255, 255, .05); border-radius: 2em; box-shadow: 5px 5px 2px rgba(0, 0, 0, .3); -webkit-transition: all 500ms ease; -moz-transition: all 500ms ease; -ms-transition: all 500ms ease; -o-transition: all 500ms ease; transition: all 500ms ease; }Quelle: /en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/11482263-junior-officer-and-r%26d-weekend%21

Two New Recon Ships!
Beginning December 18th, two new Recon Destroyers are being made available in the C-Store on PC! These new vessels in the Dominion and Romulan ship lineage were inspired by the Federation’s Lafayette-class and the KDF’s Ketha Recon Raptor. They feature many of the technological advances seen there, combined with the unique shipbuilding advantages employed by the Dominion and Romulans, respectively. These starships will be available in both Non-Fleet and Fleet variants. Special Introductory Pricing Discount! From 12/18 @ 8am PT - 12/22 @ 10am PT, you can get these ships for 2400 ZEN each when purchased individually, a bundle with either the Federation & Klingon or the Dominion & Romulan ships for only 3200 ZEN, or a bundle with all four ships for only 5600 ZEN! Thereafter, they will return to their normal price of 3000 ZEN individually, 4000 ZEN for either two-ship bundle, or 7000 ZEN for the four-ship bundle. Fleet versions of each of these starships will unlock upon completing your Fleet Starbase’s Tier 4 Shipyard. The standard Fleet Module discounts apply if you have purchased the ships from the C-Store. Without further ado, here are the stats on these exciting new starships! Jem'Hadar Vanguard Recon Destroyer [T6] In these trying times, constant conflict and ever-present hostility have made exploration and reconnaissance at the edges of the frontier an even more dangerous endeavor than normal. The Jem'Hadar Vanguard Recon Destroyer has been designed in response to this galactic atmosphere, providing a distinct combat-focus to a ship that is otherwise dedicated to scientific study and intelligence gathering. Vanguard Starships come included with two loyal Jem’Hadar ace pilots. These expert pilots fly their own Jem’Hadar Vanguard Raiders in formation with you, never straying far from your side. Their extensive experience in team-based tactics allow them to execute powerful maneuvers at your command. In case of catastrophic ship failure, they will return back to operations shortly and automatically after a brief lockout. This starship features a Lieutenant Commander Universal/Intelligence Specialist Bridge Officer seat. Fortunately, the engineers of the Republic are up to the task, and the Rahhae Recon Warbird is their latest triumph in that arena. This new vessel brings potent scientific and intelligence gathering tech to the Republic fleet. Warbirds are powered by a Singularity Core, unlike other starships. This unique form of propulsion grants extra abilities compared to Warp Cores, but comes at the cost of lower overall power levels for the starship. Like most warbirds, this starship comes with innate Romulan Battle cloaking, allowing the starship to stealth even during combat. This starship features a Lieutenant Commander Universal/Intelligence Specialist Bridge Officer seat. However, once prototyping began, it quickly became evident that the trinary emitter-beams used to scan and receive such data caused irreparable damage to matter caught in the crossfire - an issue further confounded by the fact that without targeting parameters designed for precise weaponry, the system takes several seconds to focus on its intended target. While these compounded issues resulted in the scanner functionality of the device being abandoned, the easily-weaponized emitters found a new home in this starship defense project. This console also provides a passive boost to Shield Hardness and Shield Penetration skills. This console can be equipped on any starship, in any console slot. Only one of these consoles may be equipped on a ship at a time. Jubilant Cadence (Starship Trait) While this trait is active, defeating enemies or healing allies will grant you one stack of Jubilant Cadence a maximum of once every 4 seconds, which last until you leave combat or are defeated. After reaching 5 stacks, you and your teammates will receive a large boost to speed and turn rate, while also having all bridge officer ability recharge timers reduced. Fleet Starship Variants: Fleet versions of these ships will unlock upon completing your Fleet Starbase’s Tier 4 Shipyard. The standard Fleet Module discounts apply – these starships may be purchased for 5 Fleet Ship Modules, 20,000 Fleet Credits, and 1 Fleet Ship Provision normally, but will be discounted to 1 Fleet Ship Module, Twenty Thousand Fleet Credits, and 1 Fleet Ship Provision if you have the corresponding C-Store ship purchased already.
