We are pleased to announce that with the Summer Event we will be updating the ShiKahr variant of the Light Cruiser family to a completely redesigned and rebuilt model. This new version of the ShiKahr has been reimagined as a mid-24th century starship, conceived as a light cruiser contemporary to the Cheyenne, Galaxy, and Nebula classes. This model was designed and built by Eric Henry, starshipwright extraordinaire. The new ShiKahr will totally replace the old model, which we are phasing out as it no longer fits in with the style or quality of STO’s current generation of starships. We feel it’s important that as new players start in their Miranda, we are proud of all the visual options available to them.   As a bonus, we’ve also added a new variant of the Miranda’s nacelles, called “Miranda Gamma,” which includes bussard collectors that are lit red. These are inspired by the U.S.S. Shore leave has never been quite as relaxing as it will be during Star Trek Online’s 2022 Lohlunat Festival, starting soon on a Risa beach near you! This year’s Grand Prize for participating in the Event will be an entirely unique starship, of a sort never seen before – the Cnidarian Defender [T6]! This living ship is actually a sentient and benevolent being, first encountered by Starfleet during the infamous “Encounter at Farpoint” mission, led by the U.S.S. When you activate an EV suit, it receives significant bonuses to defense for one minute. The capacitor then recharges for three minutes before it can activate again.   Andorian Summer Squall Kit Module: Summers on Andoria are relatively pleasant... if you enjoy lots of snow and icy mix. The "summer squall" replicates these conditions by creating a swirling blast of ice, snow, and slush in an area. Foes caught in that area are slowed and lose friction, causing them to slip and sometimes to fall down. In addition, they suffer ongoing cold damage and reduced perception, as well as a penalty to their own ability to hit their targets (which reduces their outgoing damage).   Andorian Blue Bores Powerboard: This high-speed, high-responsiveness powerboard follows the color scheme of the Andorian Blue Bores baseball team.   Andorian Blue Bores Floater: This top-end floater has the color scheme of the Andorian Blue Bores baseball team.   Andorian Blue Bores Home and Away Baseball Uniforms: Show your appreciation for the team that never quits on account of rain or snow with baseball outfits themed for the Andorian Blue Bores. Each warhead will approach a foe and then lock itself in local space-time before generating micro-anomalies that draw in other versions of itself from nearby multiversal probabilities, and launching those additional projectiles at nearby foes. While the targeting can be erratic, the explosive yields more than make up for it. Each foe impacted by the original or its duplicates suffers a radiation explosion, which will also slow down their temporal footprint, reducing their speed, turn rate, and weapon firing cycle speeds. This console additionally provides a passive bonus to Turn Rate (only while at Full Impulse) and a Cooldown Reduction for all Universal Consoles. This console may be equipped on any ship in any console slot. This console mod may be used on any starship, in any console slot. Only one of these consoles may be equipped on a ship at a time.
